Exceptional Heritage In Wallonia

The Abbaye de Villers, situated in the commune of Villers-la-Ville in grounds of more than 36 hectares, is a destination site imbued with history and emotion.



It was founded in the 12th Century, under the aegis of Saint Bernard. Today, its majestic ruins give a marvellous idea of the life of monks of the Cistercian Order.

What you can find here: over 850 years of history and lots of activities to suit all ages: theme-based, guided visits, family discovery walks, activity days, open air concerts and theatre, exhibitions, walks around the Abbey and more.

Visit the Abbey

1 April - 31 October, from 10:00 till 18:00, every day.

1 November - 31 March, from 10:00 till 17:00, except Tuesdays.

The Abbaye de Villers is situated in the Commune of Villers-la-Ville, in the province of Brabant Wallon.
