From April 26 to June 15, 2025, Villers Abbey will host "Emergence," an exhibition of glass sculptures by artist Koen Van Elsen, in the hotel-brasserie. Guided group tours led by the artist are available upon request.
In our everyday lives, glass blends into the environment through windows, screens or other containers, creating transparent separations. It also carries with it the fantasy of invisibility and disappearance. In art, this paradoxical medium – at once present and imperceptible – questions our perception of matter and space. Koen Van Elsen's glass installations question the concept of matter and emergence.
