Fred & the Healers are one of Belgium’s leading blues-rock bands. Formed in 1994 by brothers Fred and Jean-Marie Lani, the trio emerged during the Belgian blues boom of the 1990s and quickly gained recognition with chart-ranking albums and numerous festival appearances.
Their music blends influences from Chicago blues, Texas blues and British blues, inspired by legends such as B.B. King, Albert King, Freddie King, Jimi Hendrix and Rory Gallagher. With Fred Lani’s expressive guitar playing and a powerful rhythm section, the band has performed on many prestigious stages in Belgium and abroad.
In 2024, the group celebrates 30 years of music and returns to the Cabaret du Moine with their latest album, No Escape. The record features 13 intense and heartfelt songs exploring themes of love, time, disappointment and redemption, delivered with the raw, authentic sound of classic blues recordings.
