Mustii in concert

28 September 2019 at 9PM. Doors open at 7PM.

Villers Abbey presents the young Brussels artist Mustii, whose real name is Thomas Mustin. Charisma and a theatrical performance, close to his audience, characterise this complete artist.

A complete artist

He is an actor by training, but also an author, composer, singer and director. As a true "entertainer" Mustii wants to indulge and develop in various complementary disciplines. He finds inspiration in the 1980s, synth-pop and new wave. His hybrid pop music, enchanting and theatrical, hinges on his most important instrument; his voice.

A mix of energy and lightness

Mustii’s music balances between calm and fragile moments and energetic flashes, all of this in a constant search for harmony. Energy and lightness reinforce lyrics which are sometimes gloomy and typical for our time.

His track-record

Quite soon after his studies at the I.A.D., Mustii was able to win roles for theatre, tv (in the show ‘La Trêve’) and film (‘Grave’, ‘Un petit Boulot’, ‘L’Echange des Princesses’ etc.). In 2017 he got his first role in the French television film ‘Je voulais juste rentres chez moi’, alongside Mathilde Seigner. In the film he portrays Patrick Dils, the victim of a judicial error. In 2019 he received the ‘Magritte’ Award for the best male promising actor. Shortly after winning the award he played the role of Hamlet on stage, directed by Emmanuel Dekoninck.

He quickly got recognised as a singer as well. His first EP, ‘The Darkest Night’, released in 2016 and his first single ‘The Golden Age’ was an immediate hit in the radio stations. He performed at multiple festivals (BSF, les Francofolies de Spa, Les Ardentes etc.). After a performance that was enjoyed by the press and the public at the Cirque Royal, his success was crowned with the ‘Discovery of the year’ Award at the D6bels Music Awards. His first album, ‘21st Century Boy’ released in the fall of 2018 on the Warner Music Benelux label.

Mustii will give an exceptional concert on Saturday 28 September at Villers Abbey.
